Managment of Future Cents

Franca Petrucci (Letendre) Manager/ Founder (A.K.A. QUEEN)

I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and Psychology. I moved to the Yukon and started my career working with youth - a career and passion of mine that I never want to leave. I have worked 20 years in this field doing various jobs, working with various programs in various places. The past 10 years, developing and implementing the Future Cents program, have been the most rewarding. It is a program where youth have the opportunity to become self-aware and make a difference in the lives of their peers - and specifically their own life. Future Cents has been very successful and this is due to the power the youth themselves bring everyday to the program: their resilience, life experiences, passion, spirit, survival knowledge, loyalty, compassion, appreciation and determination.

Rikki Gelowitz Program Coordinator

Hi my name is Rikki Gelowitz and I am the new Program Coordinator for Future Cents.  I have diplomas in Medical Office, and Administration.  I am also a past youth from contract #6. I have two boys aged 5 and 3. Not only did I complete this program, but my husband did also.   We have come along way in our life and try to live each day to the fullest. We just bought our first home and enjoy spending time with our family and just relaxing. I truly believe in the Future Cents program and look forward to many more fun adventures with everyone.

Jan the Man, Youth Supervisor

I am Jan the Man and I am the newest addition to the Future Cents team. As the new Youth Supervisor it is my privilege to give back to the program what was given to me during my past employment in contract #7. I have taken 5 years of post secondary education. I began my focus in Organic Chemistry and Physics then soon learned that my passion was in Social Work. The completion of my social work degree is tentative and I also intend on acquiring my ticket as a framer so that I can wear two hats (Labourer and Professional). I travelled nearly 1000 km from the Queen Charlotte Islands as a Utility Operator to be here because this job is just that awesome. It will be a difficult job to fill the boots of my great friend, Theon TeKoeti, but I know that I am up to the challenge. When this job was first proposed to me I was a little bit scared, but now only excitement and anticipation remain.
